Lessons:
I have been teaching for over 30 years. My studio has students of all ages and levels.
My teaching philosophy is to encourage lifelong engagement in music. What does that mean? Lifelong engagement is when a person who played an instrument in school continues in their adult life. This can be done in community ensembles, church, chamber groups or world music ensembles. To aid in accomplishing this, I try to encourage my students to join music organizations outside of school. In the studio, the music learned is not limited to classical. We study jazz and rock as well.
Whether you are preparing for music school or just want to improve your flute playing, inquire about lessons! Lessons are available in 30 minute, 45 minute or one hour time slots.
Performances:
I am a versatile musician and work as easily in the formal concert scene as in pit orchestras for musicals. I works with a variety of instrumental combinations such as flute and guitar, flute and strings, flute and harp and flute and piano and an available to play at your special party, wedding or corporate event.
